The Ashmolean welcomes back old friends, and new ones as well to our series of poetry tours..

Poets from Oxford and surrounding areas will explore and celebrate the Museum’s pieces, renowned or recherche, intriguing or glorious and newly-acquired artworks.

This February tour takes you round four galleries on the second floor, from European and Baroque Art to German and Flemish Art and the lovely Dutch Still LIfe Paintings Gallery.

Poems will be recited next to the objects and artworks that inspired the poets. If you want to talk to the poets, most of us are friendly!
