HOW DOES IT WORK?
What you will receive
Once you have bought your gift membership online, you will be sent a gift membership code by email, which you can pass on to the recipient of your gift. This code will be needed to activate the membership.
A physical Gift Membership Pack will also be posted to you within 2 working days which will include a beautiful welcome card, outlining our membership benefits, as well as the same gift membership code sent to you by email.
If you wish to keep the gift membership a surprise for the recipient(s), make sure to only use your details when purchasing. You can then personally pass on the gift membership voucher code and/or physical gift membership pack for them to redeem in their own time*.

Activating your gift membership
You can activate your gift membership at any time within 12 months of purchase date (as printed on the gift card) by contacting the Membership Office on 01865 278 016 or by emailing membership@ashmus.ox.ac.uk
Does the membership start right away?
No, the membership can be activated to start any time within 12 months of the initial purchase. It will not start automatically on the day it is bought.
Can I buy gift memberships at the Museum?
Yes! Gift Memberships can also be purchased in person from the Museum shops, or by calling the Membership Office on 01865 278 016 (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm).
Can I buy a gift membership by Direct Debit?
Gift Memberships cannot currently be paid for by Direct Debit, and we are not able to claim Gift Aid on any Gift Membership purchases.
